Biography

Curtis is an Associate Attorney with Long & Robinson, LLC, where he focuses his practice on construction litigation and related commercial disputes. He draws on a strong blend of technical training and investigative experience to help clients navigate complex claims involving construction defects, non-payment, mechanic's liens, foreclosures, job-site incidents, contract performance, and project-management issues. His background enables him to assess problems from multiple angles—legal, operational, and technical—allowing him to develop strategic solutions aligned with clients’ business goals.

Before attending law school, Curtis completed the Master Automotive and Master Diesel Technology programs at Nashville Auto-Diesel College (now Lincoln Tech). These programs provided an analytical and technical investigative approach that focuses on the challenges and operational realities faced by project owners, contractors, and subcontractors.

Curtis’s experience as a former law enforcement officer further strengthens his investigative approach to litigation. As a community patrol officer who advanced to the rank of corporal, he responded to high-risk situations and conducted detailed investigations, including accident and incident scene analysis—skills that translate directly to investigating claims, documenting site conditions, evidence preservation, and liability assessments.

Prior to joining Long & Robinson, LLC, Curtis practiced with Midwest litigation firms representing clients in a range of civil matters from catastrophic injuries to multi-million dollar construction defect and contribution & indemnity claims. Curtis joined Long & Robinson, LLC, to focus his practice and development on construction and real estate matters. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas, with additional admissions to the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.
